Shabbat with Friends Introduces:  

A Soulful and Contemplative Shabbat Stroll 

The Jewish sages taught that on Shabbat, even our gait should change. We move from the hurried strides of the workweek to a peaceful, intentional pace. This is Menucha—the restorative rest that allows us to truly inhabit the world as it is. 

Join us for our first Shabbat Walk, an intergenerational gathering designed to help us unplug from our screens and reconnect with the soul. We will wander the trails near Upper Canyon Road, listening to the local birds, returning their songs with songs of our own. Our walk will be accompanied by a guitar to lead us in nigunim—wordless melodies that bypass the mind to reach the heart—and other traditional Shabbat songs. Along the way, we’ll engage in a mindfulness Shabbat meditation led by Gabrielle Maisels.  We’ll end our Shabbos stroll with a Kiddush and light refreshment.
