Read about our new approach to Jewish community

Shabbat with Friends New Mexico is a vibrant Jewish community focused on enriching the Shabbat experience through home-based gatherings filled with joy, music, and delicious food. Founded by Rabbi Dov Gartenberg, the initiative has expanded from 10 gatherings in Albuquerque to over 25 annual events in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, engaging a diverse, multi-generational community of more than 1,000 participants. Volunteer hosts open their homes or venues to create inclusive gatherings, supported by a dedicated team that helps with planning and execution.
