A Year of Immersion and Personalized Mentoring in Jewish Life
The Living the Jewish Year Program (LTJY) offers an immersive, year-long experience combining Jewish learning, spiritual mentoring, and guided practice. Participants explore Sabbath traditions, Jewish festivals, and personal rituals within a structured curriculum led by Rabbi Dov Gartenberg, Convener of SWF, who brings 40 years of rabbinic mentoring and teaching experience.
Program Highlights

Course Enrollment: Join SWF’s Exploring the Jewish Experience (EJE) or an equivalent program. (Link)

Taste of Shabbat Gatherings: Learn and master Sabbath home traditions. (Link)

Personal Mentoring: Six one-on-one sessions with Rabbi Dov throughout the year.

10 Mesimot – (Hebrew for Adventures): Ten experiential learning events featuring Jewish celebrations or life-cycle rituals (in person or online).

Concluding Rite of Passage: Choose a meaningful Jewish milestone—such as leading Shabbat table rituals or taking the ritual steps to undergo conversion to Judaism (if this applies to you) .

Because of the significant time commitment, please make an appointment with Rabbi Dov to decide if this is the right fit. LTJY Tuition: $1,200 for the year (financial assistance available).
