A Program of Shabbat with Friends NM (SWF)
The gracious hospitality of sharing Sabbath (Shabbat in Hebrew) meals has been a feature of Jewish homes for over 2000 years. Shabbat with Friends (SWF) shares with the wider community the traditions of this meal that feature engaging conversation, table singing, interactive learning, and a warm setting for making new connections.
The Taste of Shabbat Gatherings occur once a month on Friday evenings and Saturday late afternoons. Shabbat with Friends provides a kosher Sabbath meal including Challah and other traditional Jewish foods. The gatherings take place in special venues around Santa Fe and Albuquerque. They are open to people of all backgrounds and ages. It is something you can share with family, friends, and significant others.
Taste of Shabbat Gatherings is hosted by Rabbi Dov Gartenberg, of Shabbat with Friends, who tells stories and shares insights into this living ancient tradition.
