Enrollment is now open for the 2024 Exploring the Jewish Experience Course Summer Session.  This popular year-round course is geared for Jews seeking to deepen their understanding of their heritage and for non-Jews who are curious about Judaism.  The course illuminates the unique history of the Jewish people and its vibrant culture as well as giving insight into anti-Semitism, Israel, and the Jewish Diaspora.  The course is taught by Rabbi Dov Gartenberg and Rabbi Jack Shlachter. Below is a list of topics we will cover.

The course meets on Tuesday evenings.  It is offered in hybrid format. Participants can participate in person and online. Since this course serves all of New Mexico, the first 4 sessions will meet in-person in Santa Fe. The second set of 4 sessions will meet in ABQ.  The locations of the course will be sent to all registrants.  

1. Jews in Literature (Israeli, Yiddish, and American)

3. Jews in Music and Art

4. Jewish Comedy

5. Jews in Different Lands and Jewish Cultural Diversity

6. Jews and Food

7. The Languages of the Jewish People8.

Tuition for the Summer Session is $18. For the Full Year: $50.
