About the event

Are you considering conversion to Judaism? Are you discussing with a Jewish partner about the religion/culture of future children?  Are you a spiritual seeker? Are you a patrilineal Jew?

If these questions are relevant to you, join Rabbi Dov Gartenberg for his quarterly information sessions on Conversion to Judaism. Among the questions that Rabbi Gartenberg addresses are:

  1. Why don't Jews proselytize but accept those who wish to convert?
  2. What are important things to consider when considering conversion to Judaism?
  3. What is the process of conversion to Judaism and the rituals associated with it?
  4. What do different Jewish movements require of conversion candidates?
  5. How do you go about finding a rabbi to mentor your preparation for conversion?

Bring your own questions to ask as well. These sessions are held quarterly by Shabbat with Friends in September, December, March, and June.  The next Information session is:

Sunday, September 15, 2024, 4-5:30pm

Format of the Session: Online
