About the event

Shabbat with Friends, in partnership with OneTable is offering a special Shabbat dinner gathering hosted by and geared for young Jewish people between 21-39. We are thrilled to collaborate with OneTable, an award-winning nonprofit that facilitates peer led Shabbat dinners in major cities across North America. Zachary Kolodny is our first Shabbat dinner host in this partnership.

Zachary will be hosting the SWF/OpenTable Shabbat dinner on Friday, May 17 starting at 7:30pm at a home in the North Campus neighborhood, near the Piatanzi restaurant and UNM golf course. Zach is preparing a capacious dinner including barbecued salmon and Beyond Burgers, side dishes, and delicious desserts. Connect and have meaningful conversation with other Jewish young people. We will have oil lamps for everyone to bring in Shabbat along with the table rituals, as well as basic Shabbat rituals.

This Shabbat gathering is free and open to anyone who is interested. Pre-registration is required since it is not a drop-in event. After you register, you will receive the physical address of the gathering and other pertinent details. The RSVP deadline is Friday morning, May 17th at 10am. For questions, please call or text contact Zachary at 469 209-2855 or email him at zacharykolodnybarcommunication@gmail.com.

Zachary Kolodny, 26, is an attorney in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is from the DFW area in Texas and a graduate of the UT law school. He serves on the Shabbat with Friends NM Leadership Team and is active in the New Mexico Jewish community
