The Godwrestlers’ Minyan: A Program of Shabbat with Friends NM
With the upcoming visit of the theologian, Rabbi Art Green, SWF is holding a special Shabbat morning prayer service called the Godwrestlers’ Minyan. The Godwrestlers’ Minyan will meet on 2 Saturdays prior to Rabbi Green’s New Mexico Scholar in Residence: October 11 and 18 from 10:30am to 12pm at the Cielo Clubhouse at 5200 Beckner in South Santa Fe which is part of Rabbi Gartenberg’s residence.
This special inaugural series of the Godwrestlers’ Minyan will delve into Rabbi Green’s Siddur Commentary, Well of Living Insight with a focus on the challenges of connecting to God in the context of prayer. We will facilitate an open, honest, and penetrating conversation on God and prayer in the spirit of God wrestling, an interpretive translation of the Hebrew word, “Israel” in the Torah.
