Sandia Nigun | This Nigun comes from a collection of Jewish Nigunim from Ukraine, recorded in the teens of the 20th century. We have recovered the melody with the help of Clara Byom and the Klezmer Institute. We have renamed it the Sandia Nigun. RDG |

Tzur Mishelo | The hymn “Rock from whose store we have eaten” is of unknown authorship. It is based on the paragraphs of the Grace after Meals, and the refrain is made up from the first phrase of the Grace and the verse (2 Kings 4:44) which comes towards the close of the Grace in the Sephardic version. As Baer (p. 205) points out there is no reference to the Sabbath in this hymn, which is, he adds, appropriate for any occasion. | ||
L’eila, Joey Weisenberg | L’eila is a song based on the Kaddish text, composed by Joey Weinberg. I find this melody to stir my soul conveying the deep yearning that is so tied to this prayer in Jewish life. If you love this song, I recommend getting the recording of it from Joey in 2022. See link here. L'eila | Joey Weisenberg (bandcamp.com) |
